WHAT IS UP.
I’m sure you’re all wondering why this post wasn’t up first thing in the morning like usual. Well, if we’re being honest, it’s because we went to bed at 2 am and I just didn’t have the energy to spend another 40 minutes completing this post. Vegas- 1, Joey and Emily- 0. Also, the WiFi at the hotel SUCKED.
That being said, VEGAS WAS SO FUN!! We left California early and made the four hour drive to Vegas. I asked Joey to research some food places he wanted to visit on our way back to Jersey, and for Vegas he chose “Crepe Expectations.” It was on some episode of Guy Fieri and Joey trusts this man with his life so we went with it. IT WAS SO GOOD. Good job fieri, good job.

Once we were done there, we made our way to the main strip! We had an appointment at 2:20 pm to go zip lining down Fremont Street!! We did a zip line through three blocks of this part of the strip, it was the best way to start the day!! There are no photos or videos of this experience because Joey wouldn’t let me buy them!!! Here are some shots we got before taking off, and a recording I took of some random people doing it:

The day continued to be PACKED with fun activities as we made our way over to Treasure Island for Marvel Avenger’s STATION. As we all know, Joey is all about marvel and the avengers. We spent an hour or so at the STATION looking at movie props and costumes, and playing the games they had installed to make us part of the avenger team. This feels like the perfect time to point out that in the strength test, I was better than Joey. I BEAT HIM. I HAVE THE SUPERIOR STRENGTH:

Once we were done here, it was off to the main strip! Even though it was 103 degrees, we decided to walk. We walked to the south end of the strip to see the New York themed hotel. It was such a great reminder of home!! We also RODE THE ROLLER COASTER THAT GOES ALL THROUGHOUT THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL!! And Joey bought me one of those giant drinks in the fancy cups. It was a very worthwhile stop. I was also shocked to find that people can just walk the streets with alcohol. I gladly joined them with my giant cup.

AND THEN, we walked to find a place for dinner. We decided on a place in one of the malls that had a 3 drink special for $10. When will New York adopt this pricing??? We also both got the surf and turf because apparently we are living like royalty now. We haven’t played any slots yet but we’re already living like big winners.

On our walk back to the main part of the strip, we stopped at the Bellagio to watch their water show!

But nothing had prepared us for the final planned activity of the day. We spent 30 minutes on a giant London Eye esque Ferris Wheel with an open bar. Hands down the best part of the day. We saw all of the sights from such a cool angle AND had more alcoholic beverages. VEGAS YEAH.

After the giant wheel, we headed back to the hotel and did some GAMBLING. OH YEAH SO VEGAS. I am the PROUD winner of $26.87. I KNOW, what a reward for pressing buttons to games that I don’t understand the purpose of. This victory was followed by some wine, mozzarella sticks, and French fries. And then we realized it was 1 am. HOW DOES VEGAS DO THIS?? There were still so many people out and about?? At this hour???

And now we must rest, because tomorrow is another big travel day!! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers so we don’t have hangovers. Thank you in advance.
